Adventure Itinerary

Day 1 Chengdu - Lhasa Airport (or Train Station) Pickup
Lhasa airport (or railway station) pickup firstly, then having a check-in in the hotel, and having a lunch and dinner at the hotel or nearby. In the daytime, you can have the free tour around Potala Palace Square, observing the Chakpori and taking photos on the Potala Palace in a certain distance. The afternoon is good for having a rest to adapt the local climate, environment and altitude. It is welcomed to have a walk and take an experience on the streets of Lhasa at night if you have no discomfort. You can also visit the Tibet Mystery Riddle, Barkhor, where the Tibetans in colorful national costumes and ragged-wearing Tibetans followers walking in the old alleys and streets on the same turning lane. (Suggested to take no strenuous exercise on the first day. Please try not to take the bath on the arrival day. Suggested to eat more vegetables, fruits and drink more water. Avoid to smoke and drink alcoholic beverages. ) (Roundtrip flight/rail is included)

Day 2 Lhasa
The second day, you will enter the Potala Palace. Having a walk in the magnificent Lamasery with the pagodas, the corridors and the palaces, butter flavor filled the air, you will fall into a dull entire ancient dream, and involuntarily get lost in those classics, statues, frescoes and legends. It is a history museum, a palace of art, a miracle in the world history of architecture, and also a symbol of the Tibetan people's faith. Afterwards, we will visit the Jokhang Lamasery, which is the world's most sacred temple, being constructed 1350 years ago. It is the oldest temple in Lhasa, but still having the most exalted position throughout the temples in Tibet. One of the highlights of this day is the Barkhor Street. It is the oldest street in Lhasa, a normal road surrounding the Jokhang Lamasery, however, it is called as "Holy Way" by the local Tibetans. Barkhor Street is the encyclopedia of the Lhasa and even the whole Tibetan culture, recounting the history of Lhasa silently.

Day 3 Lhasa - Gyantse - Shigatse
You will travel from Lhasa to Gyantse along the Gang Bala Snowy Mountain via Qushui across the Yamzhog Yumco Lake, driving on China-India Highway, which is a well-constructed road. The Tibet plateau on the way is the major agricultural regions surrounded by the stunning alpine and lakes. Yamzhog Yumco Lake can be observed from Lhasa along the Lhasa River Valley with altitude 4990m Gang Bala Mountain nearby. The Lake is a plateau lake, altitude 4441m with shoreline 250km in length, being the largest inland lake in Northern Himalayas. It is one of the "Three holy Lakes" in Tibet, including Namtso Lake and Mapam Yumco Lake. Then, you can also visit the Karuolabingchuan (Karola Glacier), recording the geological history by ice and snow, also creating an art sculpture of time. Lastly, we reach to the Tibetan political and religious center, Shigatse, which is also the second largest city in Tibet and the land of the ancient residence of the Panchen Lama.

Day 4 Shigatse - Lhatse - Tingri - Everest (Base Camp)
Departure from Shigatse to New Tingri County (Xegar) via Lhatse, you can overlook the majestic Mount Everest on the way to Xegar, climbing Gyatso La snowy mountain with an altitude of 5220m. Lhatse is called as "The first shining golden peak", also being known as the origin of Tibetan knives where you can find a knife in good quality. You will move to Tingri after the slightly stay in Lhatse, where you can buy the sea fossil specimens picked up by the local Tibetan children (Tibet Plateau was in the seabed many years ago). After the hardships, you will arrive the area at the foot of northern Mount Everest in the middle of the Himalayas. The surrounding mountains stacked ups and downs, the peaks are majestic, magnificent, holy and dreamy for the human.

Day 5 Tingri (Xegar) - Rongbuk - Shigatse
This day is the most significant day. You will move to the Mount Everest Nature Reservation Area, visiting the Red Sect Lamasery, Rongbuk, which is established in 1899 with altitude 5154m. Rongbuk is located at the end of Rongbuk Glacier of the northern slope of Mount Everest, which is the temple in the world's highest altitude. Rongbuk Lamasery is only 20km from the top of Everest, where you can observe the world's highest peak face to face. Afterwards, you will have a short trekking to the Mount Everest Base Camp (carriage is optional), feeling the magnificent nature. Many mountaineering experts believe Rongbuk and morning are the best location and time to observe and photo the Mount Everest, watching the most pleasant scenery in your life. Return to Shigatse at night.

Day 6 Shigatse - Tashilhunpo Lamasery - Lhasa
Today will visit the residence of the Panchen Lama's Lamasery, Tashilhunpo, which is established in 1447, one of the six major lamaseries of Yellow Sect. You can overlook the whole temple attached to the mountains at its back, temples are adjacent to each other with red walls and golden domes. Flashing lights and chanting lamas in lamasery, the domestic and foreign Buddhist believers have worshipped here for over 500 years. The world's largest indoor bronze statue, Jampa Buddha, which is 26m height, also placed in Tashilhunpo.

Day 7 Lhasa - Namtso - Yangbajing Hot Spring - Lhasa
Having a morning drive to one of the "Three Holy Lakes" in Tibet, Namtso Lake, with an altitude 4770m. You can see the seamless sky and blue lake mixing together by overlooking Namtso Lake. Tashi peninsula in Namtso with bizarre rocks and mythic caves form a scenic view. Afterwards, by following the arrival of the region of Nyainqentanglha with endless snowy mountains, it is an oasis of the northern Tibet grassland, colourful prayer flags fluttering in the wind, and the highest peak of Nyainqentanglha (altitude 7717m) enters your vision. On the way back to Lhasa, you can enjoy the Yangbajing Hot Spring at your own expense.

Day 8 Lhasa Airport (or Train Station) Dropoff - Chengdu
Having a happy ending after the breakfast in Lhasa, you will be taken to the Lhasa Airport/Train Station and take a return flight/rail back to Chengdu. (Roundtrip flight/rail is included)

A CHALLENGING ADVENTURE TREKKING IN MT. SIGUNIANG

Mt. Siguniang is very famous for having a long trekking journey and ice climbing in Sichuan. The alpine trail of this tour is one of the China's top ten classic crossing route. The altitude of Mt. Siguniang is over 4000m averagely with glorious nature scene, including meadows, snowy hills, glaciers, valleys and plateau wetlands. Therefore, it is a paradise for having any outdoor activities.

In the Trekking Mt. Siguniang tour, you will be well-supported by professional mountaineering guides and logistic team to climb the snowy Siguniang Peak, which is above 5000m. Although the difficulty of this climbing is not high, however, it is still challenging enough and a good achievement with the beautiful scenes surrounding. You shouldn't miss this trekking tour if you are enthusiastic about outdoor activities.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1 Start from Chengdu - Rilongzhen (Airport Pickup)
(3 optional routes)
1. Chengdu - 137km - Yaan - 110km - erlangshan - 28km - luding - 114km - Danba - 58km - xiaojin - 48km - Rilongzhen
Passing across several rivers and streams via Chengya Highway and Yaan, you can explore the most beautiful village in China, Danba, and reach to the Rilongzhen Village under Siguniang Mont finally
2. Chengdu - 57km - Dujiangyan irrigation system - 30km - Yingxiu - 65km - Wolong - 94km - Rilongzhen
Crossing over the Balang Mountain after passing Yingxiu, you can explore the sea of clouds surrounding Balang Mountain under a good weather condition.
3. Chengdu - Yaan - Mount JiaJin - Rilongzhen (Totally 370km)
Crossing over the Mount Jiajin after passing across several rivers and streams via Chengya Highway and Yaan, you will reach to Rilongzhen finally.

We will decide the route according to the road situation and weather condition on that day.
Altitude: Chengdu (540m), Rilongzhen (3100m)

Day 2 Rilongzhen -3km - Guozhuangping - 6km - Dajianbao - 9km - Base Camp (Trekking 6-8 hrs)
After entering the Haizigou, you can choose either trekking on foot or horse-riding for reaching to Base Camp. You can explore the meadows on the alpines, snowy mounatins and the whole view of Siguniang Mountain.
(Reminder: The physical requirement is quite high on this day, it is suggested to take horse-riding to get to the Base Camp. Upon the arrival, you should take more clothes and drink more water, keeping some light exercises and trainings instead of having a long sleep in the tents)
Altitude: Rilongzhen (3100m), Base Camp (4200m)

Day 3 Base Camp - 7km - The Peak - 26km - Rilongzhen (Trekking 10 hrs)
Having an early wake-up at 5:00am, the team will start the trip at 5:30am after the breakfast. Team members will climb up the peak with the assistance of the adventure guides, and reach to the top by spending around 4-7 hours. After the celebration, you will have a 2-hour careful descent back to the Base Camp, then returning to Rilongzhen after a rest in the afternoon. Today is the most challenging day with at least 10 hours trekking, you should notice your adventure guides if you are discomfort or in poor physical conditions. They will make a fast response to send you back to the Base Camp by horses. Altitude: Base Camp (4200m), The Peak (5276m), Danba (1800m)

Day 4 Rilongzhen - 10km - Lamasery - 5km - Kushutan - 7km - Muluozi
(Trekking 6 hrs)
Departure from Rilongzhen by taking a private vehicle after the breakfast, you will move forwards to Zhangping Ravine. After the team arriving the Lamsery in Ravine, you will start the trekking journey to Bipeng Ravine. Zhangping Ravine is 29km long and 100 square kilometers in area with tranquil trails, lamaseries, clean lakes and scenic waterfalls. On the way of trekking, you can view the snowy mountains (Yaomei Peak & Camel Peak), the scene of Zhangping Ravine, the meadows on the alphines and yak groups. The team will stay one night at the Muluozi Campsite located at the foot of Yaomei Peak of Siguniang Mountain. Altitude: Muluozi Campsite (3760m)

Day 5 Muluozi - 3km - Shuidaba - 11km - Chazi Ravine Campsite (Trekking 6 hrs)
The team will leave Muluozi after the breakfast, and hike towards the Chazi Ravine Campsite via Shuidaba, Turtle Rock and Yangmantai. It is suggested to take a rest early after the arrival and prepare for the long journey on the next day. Altitude: Chazi Ravine Campsite (3900m)

Accommodation: Tents in Chazi Ravine Campsite

Day 6 Chazi Ravine - Yakou(Mountain Pass) - Zhuomahu Lake - Li County
(Trekking 10 hrs)
The distance between Chazi Ravine Campsite and Yakou is about 6 km, a steep slope in the beginning and a gentle slope at the back, the team members should be careful during the trekking. Start to climb over the Yakou after arriving a large flatland. You will reach to the Sankeshu Campsite (Three Trees Campsite) in Bipeng Ravine, and being busy to take photos on the stunning scene of the Bipeng Land behind the campsite, especially the White Dragon Waterfall and Zhuomahu Lake. Afterwards, the team will be picked up at Shanghaizi Reception Area, and move to Li County by taking a private vechicle. Altitude: Yakou (4668m), Shanghaizi Reception Area (3570m), Li County (2241m)

Day 7 Li County - Dujiangyan - Chengdu (Airport Dropoff)
Leaving Li County after the breakfast, the team will travel along the 512 Earthquake Heritage Site and Min River by taking private vechicle, reaching to Dujiangyan where you can visit the huge and ancient irrigation system constructed in BC256, which is also a World Heritage of UNESCO. The visit of Dujiangyan is optional for you. Finally, the team will be back to Chengdu and have a small celebration occasion in the hotel at night. Altitude: Li County (2241m), Chengdu (500m)
