Safari tours can easily blend Kenya's Maasai Mara and Amboseli reserves with Tanzania's Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater. The wildebeest migration is the best reason for combining these two destinations. The migration starts in the southern Serengeti, moves through central and western Serengeti and into the Maasai Mara. By combining Kenya and Tanzania, you'll witness the spectacle of the mega-herds and enjoy Africa's best crowd-free game viewing away from the main event.

It is absolutely worth exploring off the off beaten track to take the spectacular scenery and rare wildlife in parks like Kenya's Samburu and Tanzania Tarangire.
