Adventure Itinerary

Historical-naturalistic – The Caffarella Valley and the Ancient Appian way from “Tomba di Cecilia Metella” and the Service Center Appia Antica (6,5km - 2 h 30min by bike, 3h 30min on foot)

A ride through the naturalistic and archaeological beauties of the Caffarella Valley and the first three miles of the Ancient Appian way. Starting from the treasures of the Caffarella Valley, crossed by the river Almone, you will arrive at mile III of the Ancient Appian way, where the majestic “Tomba di Cecilia Metella” and the monumental area of Emperor Massenzio (including “Circo”, “Villa” and “Mausoleo di Romolo”) stand.
