This trail starts near to Ribeira do Faial da Terra, hiking on a small road which will take to the water border, getting in on a forest full of incense/ Victorian box tree and acacia. You’ll also explore an old watermill that was deserted newly, some trees fruits on both sides of the stream. After a short walking, you’ll reach a bridge that will take you to Salto do Prego waterfall a beautiful place for you to rest for a moment and enjoy Faial da Terra unusual nature. After the relaxing time you’ll meet the Sanguinho old village now recovered, here you’ll find the typical old building and small fields holdings. On the way, you can find some Sanguinho an Azorean endemic plant which gave the name to this village. It is worth to make some stops during the trip for you to see the scenes that this region as to offer.
