about us

“Canyoning” or Canyoneering (USA, AU), Kloofing (SA), Barranquismo (ES), Torrentismo (IT): is traveling in canyons using a variety of techniques that may include other outdoor activities such as walking, scrambling, climbing, jumping, abseiling (rapelling) and swimming. It is frequently done in remote, rugged settings and often requires navigational, route-finding and other wilderness travelling skills. Canyons that are ideal for canyoning are often cut into the bedrock stone, forming narrow gorges with numerous drops, beautifully sculpted walls, and sometimes spectacular waterfalls. Most canyons are cut into limestone, sandstone, granite or basalt, though other rock types are found. Ticino canyons are mostly formed into granite rock.

While canyoneers have used and adapted equipment for years, more and more specialised gear is invented and manufactured as canyoning popularity increases.

Our Canyoning tours are dedicated to get you a lifetime experience. The tour brings you into a mystical, natural and sometimes challenging landscape that recalls the jumps, water slides, high walls and crystal clear water their homes. There are plenty of opportunities to “descent” into the canyon, up to you to decide how far you want to push it! The team of Adreventura’s multilingual certified guides are committed to your safety and happiness. We are looking forward to take you out in this amazing natural wonderland!
