After meeting your jet boat captain at West Bay Marina (in Dubai Marina) and wearing a life jacket, step on board your ship for a thrilling 45-minute ride. Following a safety orientation, the boat takes off for you to enjoy scenic views of the manmade Marina Canal.
The boat leaves the canal from the west side next to Bluewater Island (the future home of Dubai Eye). Enjoy the beautiful view of Jumeirah Beach Residence to the right with its newly-upgraded beachfront with high-rise buildings in the foreground. Your captain slows down the Shark jet to a stop and provides a great opportunity for fabulous photographs.
Then the Jet boat moves toward Palm Jumeirah while performing various high-speed maneuvers. Look for the captain’s signal as he indicates that the boat is about to spin; for this, you need to hold on to the bar in front of you while the boat moves fast. Ensure to secure your belongings, especially hats.
In the background, you will see the world’s largest cantilevered observation wheel (completion expected in 2018). It is of outstanding architectural quality and engineering achievement. The captain will allow a photo-taking opportunity by slowing down and stopping here at the Dubai Eye. A future landmark under construction is definitely a sight to capture on camera! From here, the captain will move to Palm Atlantis if sea conditions allow. The tour will then come to an end and return to the starting point. Bring a change of clothing with you in case you get quite wet. This is a great way to cool down on a warm day!
