El Salto Angel, or Kerepakupai Meru in its original name, sprouts in Auyan Tepuy and has an uninterrupted waterfall of 979 meters high. It is a unique and magical place, full of great rivers, large waterfalls and big “Tepuyes”. Trek with your family and explore the beauty of the Angel Falls.
Day 1: Puerto Ordaz-Canaima. Flight from Puerto Ordaz to Canaima in a small Cessna. Upon arriving in Canaima, you will take an excursion to Salto El Sapo and Salto Hacha and stay overnight in Canaima town.
Day 2: Canaima-Salto Angel. You will take a trip on Dugout Canoe along the Carrao River, slowly reaching the majestic Auyan Tepui, a unique experience!
You will continue upstream along the Churun River up to Ratoncito Island, where you will disembark and hike through the dense rainforest for an hour until reaching the foot of the highest waterfall in the world, Angel Falls. Overnight in hammocks at a rustic camp near Ratoncito Island.
Day 3: Canaima. After breakfast, you will return to Canaima. Free midday for optional excursions.
Day 4: Canaima-Puerto Ordaz. Morning at leisure. A flight aboard a small Cessna back to Puerto Ordaz.
