Day 1: Sai Gon--Cai Lay - Cai Be (L, D)
8:00 pick you up at the hotel in Saigon and transfer out of the city to the countryside of the Mekong Delta by bus. Begin riding on backcountry roads pass through rural villages, rice paddy fields, rivers, and channels. Take a break by having lunch at local restaurant in Cai Be, have some time to relax and enjoy fruit orchard. When ready, we cycle to Cai Be boat station to load all bicycles on our boat and enjoy a private boat ride on the largest segment of the Mekong river. Admiring iconic landscape of the Mekong Delta and discover riverbanks dotted with green islands and charming villages.
Around sunset we meet the local family in Binh Hoa Phuoc Island where we enjoy the great local hospitality and an excellent meal of local specialties. Tonight we sleep on simple camp beds in a Mekong-style arrangement. Bedding and mosquito nets are provided. The toilet and bathroom facilities are shared and with hot water shower!
Day 2: Vinh Long-Can Tho (B, L)
After breakfast at the homestay, getting on the bicycle and pedaling along the backcountry paths on the island. Take a local ferry crossing the Mekong river for Vinh Long, then cycling to Binh Minh. Lunch en-route and afternoon transfer by mini bus to Can Tho. Checking in the hotel or home stay and spend some time for walking to explore the must-love town of Can Tho.
Day 3: Can Tho-Sai Gon (B, L)
Awaken early to the sounds on the Mekong Delta and take a boat ride to visit the famous floating market which is located on the Hau (lower) river. All the goods are transported to the market by boats and traders live on their boats like their free houses for generations.
Continue on your boat ride into the narrow shady waterways to see even more the real life of Mekong people. After disembarked, visit a rice mill and rice paper home work-shop, then biking three hours through many charming villages of Can Tho area. Mid afternoon heading back to Sai Gon.
