#2 – Antarctic Ice Marathon

Where? Antarctica

When? 24th November 2018

Why? Ultra Running to the extreme – does it get any cooler than this? Literally! The ultimate challenge of physical & mental endurance as runners bundle themselves up against the harshest elements and set off from the Union Glacier Exploration Camp, 600 miles from the South Pole. Want people to talk about you? Choose this marathon and do something epic.

#3 – Maratona di Roma

When? 8th April 2018

Why? Rome is a city jam packed of architectural wonders and marvels – what better way to explore it than on foot? Just this time a little faster than usual. You are guaranteed to never feel bored with marvels like the Colosseum and the Vatican to admire as you power your way past on foot.

#4 – Great Wall Marathon

Where? Beijing, China

When? 19th May 2018

Why? The name gives it away! This Marathon takes runners to the world famous Great Wall of China, located east of Beijing. With a punishing 5,164 steps along the route, this isn’t going to be a gentle run in the park but it is guaranteed to be a memorable life experience.

#5 – Midnight Sun Marathon

Where? Tromso, Norway

When? 16th June 2018

Why? During the month of June, the coastal town of Tromso, Norway, basks in never-ending sunlight. What more of an excuse do you need than that? Runners set off at 8.30 pm – not traditional marathon timing – and run late into the golden-night sunshine. That in itself is a pretty cool experience!
