Before he set out on February 11th on his epic cycling feat, Jonathan Shubert spoke at ub-cool TALKS in Muscat, Oman. With a full room of eager listeners, he told of his earlier cycling journeys and how he arrived where he is today.

Profession: Science school teacher from the UK who is based in Muscat, Oman
Achievements: Rode 30,000 km around the world unassisted, a 24-hour challenge champion, UK national record holder and, recently, World Record holder of cycling 1,200 km across Oman.
World Record Dates: 11th February 6 am and arrived at the goal at 5:21 am on February 13th
Official World Record Time: 47 hours and 21 minutes
